The Brawn's are genuinely quick. Check out the fuel loads, they were heavy cars in qually.

Maybe time for Jenson to step upto the mark again !

Re: Formula 1 2009 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
Best race of the season yet imo, this is why i`m disappointed that the fueling equation is going to be scraped for next year, to me it adds several permitations and can make the race a lot less predictable.
Good Result for Button, looks like it`s just him and that teenager Barrichello slugging it out for the championship now which should make him fell a whole host better.
Really can`t see Kovalainen staying at Mclaren now, they have publicly backed him many many times but he just doesn`t deliver consistently enough to drive for a team like Mclaren, who to replace him with though?

Re: Formula 1 2009 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
The Singapore Piquet "Crashgate" looks like it might have some mileage in it, this transcript from an FIA interview stinks . There might be an innocent explanation for refusing to answer questions but there is an old saying "no smoke without fire"
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/78647
Plus another saying, innocent until proved guilty
Hope this gets sorted out, I'm getting bored of trying to defend the sport I have followed for 25 years.....

Lotus are to return to Formula 1 for the first time since 1994 after being granted the 13th slot on the grid from next season.
They will line up as one of four new teams for 2010 - alongside Campos Grand Prix, Manor and US F1.

I assume that the BMW pull out is total and that Sauber will need to source an engine ?

Re: Formula 1 2009 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
As far as I understand Lotus has the definitive 13th slot. The FIA will seek the agreement of the teams to open the grid to a 14th team, in the current climate I think the teams will want to stick together. I hope we will see 14 teams on the grid next year but I am not sure that all the new entrants will make it, just a hunch. Hope I am wrong though.......

28 cars on the track is gonna really strain qualifying...lots more impeding penalties I think

Re: Formula 1 2009 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
Back in the day they had pre-qualifying (late 80's early 90's) Osella, Eurobrun, Onyx, Life, Minardi, Simtek, Zakspeed, Toleman, Ligier, Arrows, Brabham, Lotus, Renault, Williams, Ferrari, McLaren, Pacific etc. Probably exceeded 30 entrants at some events.
