Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
The story that keeps on giving,
first it was BT (digital spy forum rumour),
then £180m bid and so close it's gone to a second round (Daily Mail),
then SKY have won for £180m with highlights on ITV (Guardian),
and now SKY have won for £120m and it didn't go to second round with highlights on CH5 (Daily Mail)

Care to have a flutter on what next, Amazon?

That's because you are not paying attention, Den.
There are references to this in various places in the media, eg:
http://advanced-television.com/2017/...buts-watch-tv/
Did you get to the last paragraph?
Saying time and time again that something won't ever happen does not make it so. The evidence of coming change is there in plain sight, but I think you will maintain your mental barriers to this coming sea change until it finally washes over you. Ignore the mounting evidence if you wish, this is not my 'fantasy world' - the evidence comes from increasing reporting on this in the media.
I still don't understand why you seem to think this is such a bad thing. You come out with this stuff but you never explain yourself.

l have read the last paragraph OB just as you said and just as you have said the fantasy world is alive and well but alas its firmly pointing in your direction.

So do you have any information (eg links) that contradict what that article and many others point to (ie that OTT services are expanding and sooner or later they will take over the football premiership rights)?
C'mon, do tell, Den, or have you slapped a DNP order on your thoughts?

Spending on Premier League rights is in a whole different league to spending on Tennis.

Also Sky's shareholders as its profits have recently declined in part due to PL costs.

Which is why Sky have a limit to what they are prepared to pay for the Premiership rights.

This is the kind of approach I was writing about earlier - sub licensing out sports rights to other broadcasters to maximise income.
