it happened to me a load came off a trailer and damage the paintwork on my parked car next quote had gone up 250 quid i called and they said but its a claim no i said its on someone else's insurance they said it didn't matter then i said but i paid extra for no claims discount protection they said it wouldn't protect me so i joined confused .com and got insured for 200 quid that's 75% cheaper than aviva .

Just to make me more grumpy I now have to do extra dialysis sessions because I’m not doing well enough. I really don’t know if I can be bothered much longer.

l know how tough dialysis can be dilli as l feel for you a lot as my late uncle had to have it several times during a week and it was extremely tiring for him and no doubt you probably feel the same..

dilli your having such a rough time at the moment and the your feeling is only natural giving what your going through and your past medical history.
If I were you I would discuss how your feeling with your consultant, nurse or GP as I'm quite sure they have heard these feelings before maybe they could offer some advice.
dilli you are one of the strongest people I know but here is a hug in the hope it will make you feel slightly better take care and hopefully your consultant, nurse or GP can give some help to how your feeling.

Ugh my laptop has gone kaput. Needs a new fan. Can't find one online so have to wait for Tuesday morning to call the manufacturer to see about getting a new fan. Buy means I'm without a laptop for now. Might have to buy a new laptop though.

What is the exact fault? I had the POST report the fan was faulty in my HP laptop but it turned out that Windows (W7 Pro) had borked the BIOS. Overriding the message, starting up the machine and then shutting it down fixed the problem.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Fan sounds like there's a swarm of angry wasps inside. They've told me that it sounds like a bearing has gone. So I need to either buy a new fan or a new laptop. I'd rather the new fan.

Yep, that sounds like bearings. I got a fan for mine off the net (Can't remember whether it was ebay or Amazon) for about £7 and replaced it before I found out it was the BIOS and W7.
BTW I looked on youtube for a tutorial on how to get the machine apart. Very useful as there were a number of hidden screws and a trick to get the keyboard out. You'll also need a miniature tool kit with the odd bits that laptops use. Mine had torx 8 screws as well as very shallow cross-heads.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
I really don't mind helping out friends, family and neighbours with DIY tasks. Especially those who lack the skills or physical ability.
But when an able-bodied neighbour, half my age, with a very decent income, turned up at my doorstep earlier I thought it best to tell him to go away in short, jerky movements.
He appeared with a list (carpet-laying, carpet tile laying, tiling, floor tiling, replace electrical fittings, assemble flat-pack furniture, bath tap replacement, jet washing, bed frame repair and tree pruning).
He also had a timetable for me to do the work!
He suggested I would do it all for free 'cos I'm a "good neighbour"..
Good neighbour perhaps, but not his lacky or slave.
I suggested a sum of around £300 would be apt (though I would not have taken his money, I have never done in the past). I was just taking the piss, the same as he was.
He got really huffy, so I told him to leave.....

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
On Saturday I went into O2 to enquire about the new Note 8 the phone will cost £855 or £955 I can't remember.
Later that day my Note 4 started playing up, I've lost count to the reboots, and boy has it got hot (no charging) and running very slow.
So I can't wait for the Note 8, so I'll have to get the S8 Edge.
