Can't be. Pinging the BBC I get over 100ms pings on some IPs which bbc.co.uk resolves to, and some normal pings for others. It's definitely not just TBB.

He doesn't mean it's just TBB, it clearly isn't. However the problem does only affect some routes and TBB is one of the most obvious and prominent ones.

Looks like it may have been fixed.
Ironic that only 4 minutes ago did we get a fault reference from VM on it: https://community.virginmedia.com/t5...2508923#M12591

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Here is mine for Surrey near Guildford. During this problem my speeds were down to below 2Mbits on download but near normal on upload. I spoke to technical support and after half an hour of testing with P.C. access, I have a technician booked for Friday (tomorrow). It will no doubt be a waste of time for all concerned but with luck he\she will escalate. It definitely is not TBB as my infinity connection hasn't missed a beat. http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/s...0-10-2014.html

They could start off by having appropriate monitoring of their load and loss metrics within their own network first... ---------- Post added at 02:17 ---------- Previous post was at 02:15 ----------

It appears to be resolved (touch wood) so in theory the tech should be automatically cancelled.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
It got fixed mere hours after Gtimers started looking into it. Glad we've got him on hand.
