Just imagine Rooney had stamped on 'Stevie' - he'd be hung, drawn and quartered by the media.

Re: Football Season 2014/15
To be fair this is the only time I've seen Skrtel do something blatant and deny it. De Gea is fine. He's hardly Roy Keane. There are far nastier players put there. Our own Alan Shearer couldn't jump for a header without deliberately elbowing someone. Better yet, ask Niel Lennon how his chin is.

Re: Football Season 2014/15
I still cringe when I remember the way Andy Carroll committed violent GBH on De Gea and completely got away with, horrendous challenge. it probably helped to toughen him up.

Re: Football Season 2014/15
And what about the career ending tackle by Ashley Barnes on Matic which to me was worthy of a 5 match ban and yet the FA did sod all.

On the other hand, this is absolutely disgraceful from Lennon, no room in the game for headbutting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ss_7WGYa9nQ
Yep, anyone remember what punishment was dished out? The famous Shearer/England team incident for those who've forgotten

Roy Hodgson's decision to leave Harry Kane out tonight may be kicking up a storm - but his decision to restore ketchup to the menu has made the England camp a happier place than it was under Fabio Capello, according to Everton defender Phil Jagielka.
Hodgson replaced Capello in May 2012. The 67-year-old's informal manner is in contrast to the Italian's more authoritarian style.
"There can be too many rules," said Jagielka. "If Fabio didn't want anyone to have ketchup there was no ketchup. Roy allows us ketchup if we want."
At the 2010 World Cup, England's players had to plead with Capello to be allowed a beer after a woeful goalless draw with Algeria in Cape Town.
|
Capello had it spot on then, overpaid 'insert brown stuff that ends up in a toilet bowl here'
Still annoyed Capello was forced out.

Poxy England band do my head in, I don't know of a single person that likes them yet we still have to put up with their endless renditions of Rule Britannia and the Great Escape regardless

They almost got banned for playing IRA related songs against Ireland didn't they? Shame they didn't go though with it. They really do ruin the atmosphere, it's forever the great escape or general drumming.

Re: Football Season 2014/15
It would be nice if all the British international teams reached Euro 2016 as that has never happened before..
