Interesting, will this allow me to use the same account on my Apple TV and other devices?

Hate to bring this up AGAIN but compare this years channel launches etc with 2012's offerings...hahaha still makes me chuckle looking back at how bleak it was last December as we reviewed the year hahaa

I can't remember the last time I watched something from On Demand; there is no need when you have the massively larger content on Netflix. So if this were to happen as OCAV is suggesting, it would make sense to me.

But if all the content from various sources was in the same place in our menus, it would give us better choice. That's what I want, anyway.

I know a lot of us bash VM from time to time but they have really made good strides in 2013.
Getting the BT/ESPN sports pack included in the XL package was a great result- certainly imo.
Several channel launches including TCM HD, Animal Planet HD, TLC (SD & HD- my missus and kids love that channel), the ITV HD channels amongst others. Now it appears Netflix will arrive -also in the XL pack- and the expected launch of more channels including maybe Sky News HD, Sky Sports News HD, CNN and CNN USA HD, more movie/music channels (would love Scuzz to come onto VM) and who knows even Sky Atlantic and Universal HD. the XL pack has surely never been as good value.
Even if SA doesnt come (i think it will eventually) VM's top tier TV package has just about everthing Sky has -even more.
i can only think of Sky Sports 3, 4 and F1 HD that are missing.
If this all happens it will have been a vintage year for VM.

And Sky 3D missing

If it helps, Netflix items will show up in any Tivo search that you do, along with Live TV shows, on demand and catchup.
It's all conjecture ATM and who knows if Netflix will be free on XL and funded by the money saved by On Demand free content (not catchup).
But if that was the case, what would you prefer: A limited amount of On Demand content all in one place in the menus, or masses more content that you have to source from just one app, which will have a search function anyway?
I know which I would choose.

Of course, Netflix would win hands down, but that wasn't my point. You have assumed we have to make a choice. Let's have content from Lovefilm, Netflix and the like as well as our on demand offering all in one place!
Yes, I want it all!

Well my LG TV can search the Netflix app without having to open it so I'd guess it uses an open directory that the Tivo can tap off, like the BBC iPlayer app.

But are you prepared to pay for it all in increased prices?
