Nothing against her, just don't like the idea. Rather just skip a regeneration than whinge about it endlessly. I'm hoping this doesn't have a catastrophic decline now though and effectively end the show. Probably far fetched.
Remember when they thought Chris Evans was best for business regarding Top Gear.

I have to agree with you here, I would probably give up on it,.
I think many others would as well, and given its ratings in the last 2 years, it doesnt need fans deserting it.
As far as I'm concerned, "The Doctor" is a man, and changing that would just be change for the sake of pc, not the show.
I gave up on it toward the end of David Tennant, this won't encourage me to come back
I'll watch it and see how she does. I don't think it's a big deal really. Doctor Who is ultimately a silly fun show and the gender of the Doctor is not a key part of the show. I can't really see what dynamic would change apart from there being some stories they could do with a female lead. She might be rubbish but then so might have Kris Marshall.
A crazy idea, but why not watch it to see if she is any good/bad?
