Its so annoying that it was rolled out ahead of the upgrades, I have no problem with it in conjunction with the upgrades but currently its a mess.

Re: Traffic Management Changes - April 2nd
I never get STMd because there is no STM on BT.

Relaxing STM rules so you get more speed is annoying?

huh? Before the stm I had no download limits, now I have a 10gb and 5gb limit which if I hit I get throttled down to 25mbit which I hit last night increadibly easily for 5 hours. As I said if I had been upgraded to 100 first/at the same time as the stm I would have no problems with it at all.

Re: Traffic Management Changes - April 2nd
You're now reduced by 50% instead of 75%, so you get double the speed after STM you got before.

And there's a good reason for that which is that the median average speed of an ADSL service is a lot less than half of the headline speed. So to further, and artificially, reduce speeds would be pointless and counter-productive; and not very good PR either

Re: Traffic Management Changes - April 2nd
I'm pretty sure he meant Infinity/FTTC and not ADSL.

Re: Traffic Management Changes - April 2nd
Your remark didn't take in the BT Infinity case. How does that stack up with your "good reason" logic?

Then he should have said so. I don't have any "average speed" figures for that. Are there any?

Re: Traffic Management Changes - April 2nd
You pasted the Infinity figure on the bottom line of the table.
Plus Qasi didn't need to specify Infinity; it was you who assumed ADSL and we all knew Qasi had Infinity.
