Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
My moan is about GP's and their advice. Basically, in 2008 I tore a ligament in my right knee which was operated on in 2009, and took around 18 months to heal properly. During that time, my weight (which was already quite bad before the op) crept up and I was at my heaviest ever.
I started dieting, and have managed to lose over 20 kilos in 6 months. Doctor says I should start doing some sport to help the knee get used to some exercise. So on Sunday me and my brother and sister go for a kick in the park, and guess what? Woke up this morning and found that the other knee, the only decent one, is now showing the exact same symptoms as my right knee when it went wrong. So now I have to go up A&E tomorrow for an X Ray on the knee and then back to my GP for a referral to an orthopedic surgeon if needed.

Oh yes. Fizzy drinks out, fatty foods gone and a 3 mile walk every day. It's amazing what this diet has done for me. I'm still classed in the morbidly obese category though. GP says if I can get to the overweight he will be happy with me.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
People who give stock answers to other questions when asked something specific..
At work, we have a piece of software that is what we call "Node Locked". Such software has to be activated on each machine that uses it.
They have a special deactivation procedure that needs to be run on each machine before it's wiped. Fair enough. However, we had two hard drive failures, so I was not able to run to the de-activation procedure, and emailed the company the relevant details, asking them to reset the activation. They emailed me with the de-activation procudure. I wouldn't mind, but I know that procedure and it's not what I asked for.
The other moan I have about this software company is that for over two years now, they have been telling me they're planning to move to a system where large users (such as where I work) can manage their own licences. Still don't seem to have got any further.

Sorry to hear about your traffic problems Peter as we came through Fareham a hour ago and the traffic was terrible as well.

£49 to send a letter not over 30 grams to my wife in the US priority shipping by Parcelforce. A bundle over 500g sent via UPS was not even close to this.

There is only one way to describe this and that is it is a utter rip off.

Did you need to get it there within a couple of days? Thats why its so expensive. Airmail would have taken 7-10 days and cost less than a tenner.
