Re: [Update] Windows 10 Discussion
Your computer will be unlikely to upgrade immediately, it will probably be released in waves like the last one.

Re: [Update] Windows 10 Discussion
After the update last night I now found that edge has hidden most of my favorites. There only appears to be one entry in each folder.
Edited about 20 mins later. I have now switched back to chrome and am using all my favorites now. Chrome also now seems to work properly at least for the moment.

Re: [Update] Windows 10 Discussion
Attempted to install this morning. Downloaded ok, went through long, drawn out installation process, restarting several times. Then flagged up, ‘Restoring your previous version of Windows’.
A check in control panel and it says a restart is needed to finish install but doing a restart has no effect , system is still on V:1703.

Re: [Update] Windows 10 Discussion
I've had that a few times on my Insider machine, I've had to dl an iso, burn to dvd, then upgrade using that to fix.

Re: [Update] Windows 10 Discussion
Hmm, just checked back in Control Panel/Updates and it shows 'preparing to install updates, 64% downloaded'.

Re: [Update] Windows 10 Discussion
PC eventually attempted to install update again. Once went through most of the process before failing..
This time I was able to see the BSOD, it had ‘page fault in non paged area’ it then attempted to retrieve the installation before once again restoring previous version of Windows.

Re: [Update] Windows 10 Discussion
My only problem with the update is I cant find a way to persuade Edge to stay the size I want it to. It always starts full screen and after resizing it is OK until I close down the PC

Re: [Update] Windows 10 Discussion
Well that was a bloody marathon.
First of all I ran chkdsk/f/r , that froze at 12% for at least an hour but I left it running as previous reading had suggested that would happen. Went for a game of squash and got back a couple of hours later to find it had completed.
Went to Updates and selected restart again.
It has taken nearly three hours but this time the update completed without issues.
