Only downside is once we get all the HD we need this thread will become reduntant until the next standard in tv comes along, I like most probably visit this thread at least once a day to see whats going on.
Great news on SyfyHD too, another great addition VM.
SkySports/Movies & Sky1HD are all I want now, and maybe NatGeo Wild HD. fingers crossed

Great news on Syfy HD been waiting for that one.
I can understand why people want Sky 1 or Sky Sports in HD but I don't understand why anyone bothers to subscribe to Sky movies anymore, it is cheaper to use lovefilm or other rental services where you can choose what you watch and not get constant repeats all for a lot less money.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
Picturebox will be as superior as Sky Movies if they start putting more premiers (or just more latest films) on there.
But what's better is that you can watch the movies anytime, and non-V+ subs can rewind and ffwd the film.
Oh, and it's in HD too.
Anybody else agree?

Because to cancel movies and keep sports only saves you a couple of quid. A marketing ploy at it's best...

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
I still like Sky Movies as when i do fancy watching a film I have about 10 to chose from, I don't go to the cinema much anymore and buy the big flicks on Bluray. Everything else I watch on the movie channels and if we can get them in HD that would be a nice big bonus. But as BikeNutt says if you drop movies you only save about £5.

A lot of people don't want the hassle of Love film though. You have to wait for the film to arrive and post it back afterwards. It may be cheap but it's a lot of hassle. Whereas Sky movies you can just surf through your epg, see what's there and watch it. If you miss it, you can almost guarantee it will repeat within 24 hours lol.

There is one positive thing Love Film has over VM & SKY movies on demand though, They don't distinguish between HD or SD films in relation to rental charges
I wonder how far into the future that these HD channels will replace there SD counterparts? Finally has anyone else noticed that annoying reference by sports presenters on SKY Sports transmissions , " This program is also available in Standard Definition"
