I know that ITV1 can buy the Setanta games off the FA.
The Blue square Rights has gone back to them for them to resell again.

Stop assuming. They need to jump into HD at a quicker rate than they are. The point I was making is Sky are giving away HD Boxes with new HD tellies at Tesco. How can Virgin keep up with that. I love the On Demand stuff but its channels you need. Business deals can get done in days if you are serious about getting the channels. They just don't know to either go for it and take a risk or sit still. Its a game of stick or twist. I have just signed up for another year for my broadband. My year for the TV is coming up and decisions will be made.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Virgin Media are in talks with ESPN America and Racing UK so that they can still broadcasted on Virgin TV as they was part of the Setanta Sports deal.
I do not have any information on Liverpool FC TV/Arsenal TV on Virgin TV.
---------- Post added at 19:50 ---------- Previous post was at 19:44 ----------
Just found this about Liverpool FC TV on their Web site:
"LFC TV is currently broadcasting as normal and will continue to do so until further notice. However, following the announcement that Setanta GB is no longer trading, there may be some disruption to our service for UK television viewers.''

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
There is a lot that Setanta has, GAA, German football, French football, Dutch football as well as golf and goodness knows what else.
However, whilst a lot of this may go to other channels some will just go.

VM viewers in N Ireland got the same Setanta channels as in GB. D/Spy indicates that the ROI channel Setanta Ireland will broadcast to NI but some programming can't be carried such as F1, FA Cup etc.
Will VM XL viewers get that channel then?
btw keep up the good work MB

If it isn't niche then how come VM's subscriber numbers are growing and churn is down despite only having one HD channel?
