Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
End of the month it's a get together of ex and current employees of a company I used to work for ( and still do contract work with) Known as the [company name] boys club but there's a few old girls as well. We meet up in a pub in the laines district of Brighton. A good night out for all concerned and an opportunity to meet old friends.

Well it's lovely here so hopefully it'll stay good for your trip.
My old man seems to be on the up, got his appetite back and has been asking for newspapers and magazines as he's bored. Hopefully he'll be able to go home soon and then we'll have deal with what else is wrong.

Yes, to be honest it's been a very trying few weeks and things will have to change in terms of his behaviour around the home, not only because of his condition but also because his hoarding will pose a danger to mum as she's trying to move around the flat using her frame. We've warned him that if the flat is deemed unsafe for mum, social services will eventually step in and that's the last thing he wants.

Glad things are getting better.
While my mother was in hospital we had to de-clutter her house (old paper/cards, goodness knows what/why horder) and remove as many trip hazards like loose mats and carpet as we could for the same reason.

Yup, that's what we've been doing. Trouble is he's always been a hoarder and loves collecting bits and pieces from all over the place, often stuff other people in the flats want to get rid of. I'm hoping that if he has to slow down a bit he may lose interest and just enjoy the lack of clutter...

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
At long last a dear friend of mine is finally making an honest woman of her other half and the wedding is next year. It should not be too hard to find an hotel as the big day is in April.
