They are adding it to Sky On Demand next year so I'd expect it to be introduced on Now TV at some stage.

But he's right VM are way behind the curve on VOD, having had Sky now for a couple of months the offering from VM was/is embarrassing.

I agree VM's On Demand offering is poor to say the least , it's a shame really considering they once led the market.

Well if you sit on your laurels then others won't hesitate to take advantage of it.

The now tv vod offering seems to be better than Virgin at the moment

Whilst it's good to have the choice of taking out a single sub the price is what does it for me you'd imagine if there was no Sky Atlantic agreement and HBO Now launched here it would be £10 a month.
I like to watch content from Showtime , ABC , Starz etc it would start to get real pricey if I had to take out a single sub for all those. When you start to really break down these single subs for me personally bundling starts to look better value , and I was originally of the view of cord cutting.

HBO Now is basically HBOGO but not linked to a cable sub the on demand is superb loads of shows and movies.

Agree mate this is why i'm grateful of my xinity login as that gives me HBO, Showtime, starz etc for £8p/m which is a absolute bargain, ok it's a friend that created a sub account for me but she could of easily of said "£30 a month" although our agreement is changing soon as she is interested in nowtv so we're going to do a simple swap my nowtv for xfinity can't get fairer than that really.

Now that I have a smart TV, access to Netflix, Amazon and Now TV (the latter gives me access to HBO via Sky Atlantic catch up and boxed sets) I think I now have access to all the available programming that I need and it's really not costing a fortune.
I'm not convinced that a vpn would really make a dramatic improvement to my viewing, but I'm going to do some research on this.
I remain of the view that if Virgin Media offered Amazon and Now TV on the Tivo, this would draw in more subscribers to their TV package. I don't buy the argument that VM would never seriously consider adding the Now TV app. It would bring advantages to both Virgin and Sky.

The US version of Netflix is so much better than the UK version which I access with a VPN enabled on my router
