Cheers @ Weenie, Den and Heero.
Was at the quack's today with Osem Jnr for a blood test and took the opportunity to weigh myself and do the ole blood pressure. I'm pleased to say I've lost 3kg and the BP is looking fine so I'm happy right now.

Good news
Two clients cleared their accounts with me this week so money in the bank. Another is about to place an order, not a biggie, but as they say every little helps.

Got a day trip planned into London in a couple of weeks, off to the National Archives in Kew Gardens. Found that one of my great great Grandad's served in the First World War, only as a Private in the Royal Medical Corps, but still he did his bit for the War effort.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Had a bit of a rough week medically which wasn't made easier by our feline companion, Ben, needing a lengthy operation on his jaw on Monday. Had to have all but 3 canines removed and a few plates put in to hold his disintegrating jaw bone together. He has been a trouper and taken everything in his stride. By Wednesday he managed to eat some minced chicken and yesterday he even managed to eat some of his kibble.
To prove that he isn't going to let his almost toothless state effect his street cred he brought me a fair size rat this morning. He ran into our conservatory bearing his prize and dumped the totally p***ed off rodent at my feet. Much to Ben's disgust and my joy the rat took off, straight back out of the door and was last seen by the Postie legging it back over the road to the field.
Ben is back in business.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
l am sorry to hear you have had a rough week medically jo and l hope your health improves soon and l am also sorry to hear about Ben's ordeal as well as he certainly has been through quite a ordeal as well but it seems nearly everything is nearly back to normal with him even though he is nearly toothless now.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Going over to Brighton later this afternoon with a m8 for an old boy reunion this evening. We're going a little earlier to have a chin wag and some food first. The people used to work at various times for a particular company in Brighton, and a couple still do. I used to work there full-time until 15 years ago and I still do some contract work for them. Usually end up with about a dozen old timers.
Plenty of beer will be consumed in various hostelries in the Lanes district.
Most people are still working in related companies so a chance to keep up contacts.
We usually manage a couple of these get-to-gethers a year, organised on-line.

Have a nice time heero but just remember how to get back to base as one loses all direction when one is intoxicated.

Cheers Den, Weenie and Osem.
Not so difficult to get back to the rail station in Brighton, just follow the Kebeb shops and chippies uphill from Churchill Square until you get there.
Train back is at 4 minutes past midnight so is an easy jog after chucking out time.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Hospital was ok. I got discharged from the heart people. They just told me to stop pushing myself about in my chair for another month. But more importantly gave me the all clear to start testing / waiting for a double transplant (with regards my heart strength) cool.
