Remote Record
I had TiVo installed this morning, and the "manage my TiVo" remote record site is picking up the box ok, and reading series links.
However - it's not reading planned recordings, or letting any remote recordings be set.
The error is always the same, "There seems to be a problem in completing your request. It is possible that your TiVo box is not online at the moment. Please make sure your box is always left switched on at the mains." - I have tried shows that are due to start in a couple of hours, and stuff from days ahead (I know there's a 35minute rule)
But like I say.. series links are being read ok, so there are comms between the box and website. Does this just take time to catchup, or how long do I leave it before calling CS?
Thanks,

Re: Remote Record
Leave it 24 hours, as it can take that long for the TiVo install to be correctly recognised by all the systems.

Re: Remote Record
Yes, when I had to have a TiVo switched it took me roughly 24 to 36 hours before I could do remote recordings through phone/website.

...then if you have a TiVo, you need to work with Virgin Media to understand why it's not working for you.

Re: Remote Record
You need to connect the tivo to a router to access via tablets etc.
Also remote record needs at least 30 minutes.

That is incorrect.
The TV Anywhere apps do not require the TiVo connected to your home network. TiVo is accessed via its own internet connection.
Recordings and series links set via TV Anywhere are immediate.

Re: Remote Record
The passage of time, and a precautionary restart of the TiVo box, resolved this. Thanks for the various replies...

OK, can you give even the slightest hint as to what you want to do with the TV Anywhere app on your iPhone?

If you have the app, are properly registered and have a TiVo, it's straightforward.
Find the program you want to watch or record in the guide and push the appropriate button.
