Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Eldest has been a properly poorly boy for all of his life but we didn't know until 6 years ago.
Supported, incredibly well, by his work place he has worked so hard in his own time to gain his own degree. He missed out last year by 1 mark. (B+ at any section of any stage of any exam is a 'fail').
After a traumatic year and successful recovery, and retake of his finals, I get to go to a ceremony and feel even prouder, smile even wider.
(I think new shoes and handbag might be in order Jo )
I just had to share

I know how proud I felt last year when Grim Jr put on her hat and robe, I can only guess at the feelings when they've had to battle adversity too. Take plenty of photos so you can keep reliving one of the best days of your life.
Cheers
Grim

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Mrs LR and I are off to Peebles Hydro for tonight without the kids.
http://www.peebleshydro.co.uk/index.html
Anniversary tomorrow so we'll enjoy a bit of chilling, some good food and drink.... and be able to converse without being interrupted
.... although our conversation will be mainly about the kids.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Natalie doesn't have to work on Monday so it's a nice three day weekend for us
I was considering cooking for her today but didn't want to poison her
Oh and the land line being broken is great - no one is pestering us at all
