Yes, it does. All data going across the atlantic incurs about 80ms of additional latency.

well I had a fix date of 29 feb from VM staff on the forums.
There was a noticeable improvement on that date however was also still evident congeston.
It declined a bit the day after but was still better than before the 29 feb.
Today seems to have more improvement although its not 6pm yet.

Fridays seem naturally a bit quieter around where I am, just wait till Sunday and compare with last Sunday.

I've just done the same test on my Sky connection and in the US ping are pretty much identical mine are slightly lower in the UK and mine also finishes on hop 8 where as you'd goes to hop 12.

wow that is miles better than about a month ago, the onyl change is my ip changed and upstream and downstream power levels came closers to perfect wondering if my hub has started rolling out mroe than 4 channels and peoel on teh shub are congestion the 4 im on with vmng300 less than before
edit: only way ill fidn out is if anyone is off castelecary hub cxan post with shub the downstream and upstream channels that are locking

Yea mine is looking better as well..
if only it was the same as it is @ 7-9am all the time then it would be a perfect graph though to be honest i see no difference in my connection any time of the day anyway

You forget all the amplifiers, bridges, repeaters, splitters, diplexers and multiplexers it also has to go through to pass 3000km of underground cable..
