That's a truism. At least being an electronics engineer by trade I can fix most stuff and have access to the specialist trade components.

A nice new jacket I have had my eye on it for a while, it was £159 at the beginning of the year in Debenhams, then it came down to £99 , today it was on sale for £39". I bought it today, delighted that they had my size.

Last minute stuff for the wee one going back to school pens, pencils etc will get his shoes next week then that's him all sorted.

A can of extra strong tropical insect repellent with 50% DEET. Horseflies try to make a meal of me without it if I'm out in the country and I react very badly to their bites.

Cyprus style BBQ brought back from holidaying there. Price there is 100 Euro with a mains/car battery motor. I've seen same (similar) unit on net here but at £150 with no motor. Fun getting it boxed and on plane. Will put together soon.
