VE Day - are you doing anything?
We will having a minutes silence at 11am, then listen to Churchill's speech at 3pm, and have afternoon tea at 4pm, at the side of our house, so we can talk (shout) to our neighbours who are doing the same thing,
My dad served in the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) 1942 - 1946, and saw action in Sicily and Italy in 1943-1944 and North West Europe in 1945 (he passed away in 2000).

Re: VE Day - are you doing anything?
A few houses have bunting up, and quite a few were outside at 10:10 for the flypast. But I reckon that's all that will happen after the 2 minute silence.

Re: VE Day - are you doing anything?
Not really, tbh I didn't even know about it until I noticed the bank holiday moved and I looked into why.
This'll likely be the last major anniversary of a WW2 event in an era when a good number of those who were involved in it are still alive. At a push the 80th maybe.

I don't have a Union Flag, but hung my English flag instead.

Re: VE Day - are you doing anything?
Did the minutes silence this morning.
Going to pour a glass of cognac shortly then lay this bad boy down and start building it:
