Virgin need to dig up road even though neighbour has VM service?

Hi all,

I had a call from Virgin cancelling my planned installation as the pre-install guys apparently found an issue meaning they have to contact the council to install something.
Wasn't clear exactly what problem they found, but something about cabling not being available.

However - my neighbour has virgin media, and I can see the CATV access point between our house and his (mid terrace house), with the wires leading into his house.

Is it still possible that more work is required for me to get cable, or should this indicate that all is good?

there is a similarly named house a bit further down our road, so part of me wonders whether the installers were simply looking in the wrong place!

appreciate any thoughts

Ross

May need to unblock a duct as the man says, or may not be able to find a tee for your property.

Check www.roadworks.org that might help.
