How to avoid a speeding ticket.
and save everybody else one too.
I was popping to the chip shop and saw the police just setting up their speeding patch. copper was standing on the bend with his hands behind his back and I was watching him in the rear mirror and he got out his speed gun.
so I went to the chip shop and did normal speed coming back with cars following me. and then at the top of the hill I slowed and crawled down at 30. you just see him on the bend and he got his gun out and then put it away again because we were all driving really nice towards him. gave him a smile walking past him.
then I went around the island and done it all again. 7 times I did it LOL
all them drivers thanking me for saving them a possible speeding ticket. and I think the copper was getting a bit annoyed with me now, with all that money he's losing. and my dinner was getting cold anyway

Best make sure all your lights are in working order, and your tyres have enough tread.....

Yes, they will come down on you now. A family friend warned other cars of a policeman checking speed and got pulled over a couple of miles down the road and had his entire car searched for drugs. Only drugs he had ever used were paracetamol.

Re: How to avoid a speeding ticket.
A trick that I like to use on automatic speed cameras, is (when approaching same) to slow down by changing down through the gears instead of touching the brakes. This way your brake lights don't come on - but you slow down gently without those behind you being immediately aware.
I use this method for all those irritating dipsticks who employ the "gotta get past, gotta get past, gotta get past at all costs" method of driving. Please whiz past me (and the camera) I say - oops there goes another three points on your license.
sigh...........!

Nice one!
They did go after someone for flashing motorists on their way past to warn them before. For safety my arse.

Re: How to avoid a speeding ticket.
It was quite funny when you imagine me leading them down this longish road just crawling at 30mph. and we eventually get to Mr plod. smiling at him as we all crawl past as if we're going to a funeral.
30mph on that road is like getting out and pushing your car.

Got the image of you as a pied piper leading the rats along. At the same time the look on the other drivers face must have been worse than sitting behind a tractor on a small lane...until they saw the police

Re: How to avoid a speeding ticket.
Yeh. they're all cursing me and then wondering how I knew they were there.
but the best part was all of us crawling towards him. and him having to hide the camera back behind his back and everyone shouting Aaaah you winker! at him whilst I've got a straight face looking like a good driver

30mph on any urban road is like giving pedestrians coming out of nearby houses or shops a fighting chance of crossing the road without getting killed.

On this particular road there's no need for anyone to cross. there's nothing to cross for.
they've deliberately chosen that road after 'all these years' because it's easy money. never have they done it before.

Re: How to avoid a speeding ticket.
How about just sticking to the speed limits.
That's the best way to avoid speeding tickets.
Speed limits are there for a reason!

Though sometimes that reason is because of a knee jerk reaction to an accident when the real culprite is bad road design.
On estate roads 30MPH should be considered an absolute max, 20 being more appropriate.
