So days old logs. Are you having any issues?

I was asked by VM bods to watch and report odd log entries. But this was a type I had never seen before, so I thought I'd ask in here as well.

I mean if DHCP stayed broken you have problems, but if it's stopped then I wouldn't worry too much about it. DHCP is set to renew half way through your lease time, so you've got a fair bit of leeway.

VM use a private (secure) method dor renewing the DHCP lease between modem and CMTS. Without going into detail, instead of using the default DHCP lease renewal mechanism, VM choose to control the point themselves when the lease is renbewed. The messages are default messages that VM, rightly, don't suppress.

Thanks for that Sephiroth. I've never seen those entries before (and I spend a lot of time perusing the logs chasing a certain fault).

I'm surprised you haven't seen them. I'd not thought about whether or not it's CMTS type specific. Mine's a Cisco CMTS and I've had these messages since moving to DOCSIS 3. As have many others reporting them in the various forums.
