Very good article. His faith and beliefs have nothing to do with his ability to do his job which, let's face it, nobody has questioned before.

Simply a case of faux-outrage purely because he has the audacity to believe in something that some others don't.

You are right, the issue is blown out of all proportion. As long as his colleagues get the same option of not working on Sunday then it is a none story.

What would be interesting is if he has to present or discuss a news story on a subject he profoundly disagrees with .. maybe he will be not "picked" to present these items?

As far as l am concerned what religion he believes in does not matter a jot as all l am interested in is how good they are at their job and he is very good at his job in my opinion but sadly as we all know one will never get rid of bigotry whether it comes from society or some of those in the media no matter hard we try.

tbf, I haven't seen any negative comments about Dan Walker in the media - I obviously don't read/view the right sort of stuff....
