Kelly Communications
Hello all.
I've recently had a job offer from a company called Kelly communications. Subject to a Crb check and DVLA check.
However I have over the past few days been divining around the net, googling and what have you and found nothing but bad news about them. Well possibly the odd good comment but mostly negative comments.
I am due to attend training in the midlands on the 4th January 2016, but with having to travel from Manchester, with no car as driving a van back apparently I might have a bit to out lay. The course is a two week one and they are only paying for bed and breakfast for Monday to Thursday each week. So I'd have to travel back home again at cost to myself on the Friday and get back there again on Monday morning.
Wages haven't been made very clear either, apparently this will be explained during the training.
But what has been said is that they use a company called work force which will take care of my tax and ni. - I'd rather get this done myself to be honest so not sure if they would let me do that.
After reading many comments on here about this company I am leaning more on the side of declining the offer, but if things have changed with the company since the older posts and perhaps they now run things differently then I might as well go for it.
My circumstances aren't currently that great either, I was recently made redundancy (I'm mid 30's) so still have a lot of working life left and have never worked in this industry before. The nearest I've been is in property refurb and level 2 electrician. If I did take this job I would probably look for something better with another company so staying with them might not be likely. Especially if things haven't changed from the time the previous threads were written.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

No, in the end I decided not to go ahead with it.
It would be interesting to hear if anybody else went for it though.

Sorry. It was a link to cable forum searches. If you look at the top of the main index you'll see search, click it then advanced and type kelly communications into keywords then search and loads of threads come up.

Re: Kelly Communications
Ok
I am starting on Monday 11th Jan and like you are a little sceptical but I have a few mates that have worked for or are currently working for them now , all say it has its bad points and good and some days are hit and miss on how much you earn but all say on average its £100 a day. I think I'll give a go as I am not in work at the moment and can't really afford to turn things down plus it's an industry that I would like to get into after leaving the forces so I suppose it's also expirence

Re: Kelly Communications
Saw a Kelly's Communications driver breaking 3 laws on the M11 southbound between J8 & J7 around 16:45 (09/02/2016)
1. Hogging lane two
2. On his Apple phone
3. An illegal number plate the 2nd H had the screw in the middle making it look like II.
HG61XHL IIRC
Personally I would ban him for 2 year's and make him take the extended driving tests.

Re: Kelly Communications
Well all you need is the reg.
But how did your dash can capture him on the phone? You do know if you moved it yourself to get a image of him then you too are breaking the law. As you not allowed, just like your not allowed to operate a sat nav whilst driving.
