Moving Tivo

I have 2 Tivo boxes one 1Tb and one 500Gb. One is permanently in the lounge and one permanently in the conservatory. I spend approximately half the year in the lounge and half in the conservatory. I am now looking at reducing my approximately £105 per month contribution plus the latest £3 increase to Virgin Media. If I take one Tivo off my bill would it be possible to use just the other and moving it between the two rooms as required?

Re: Moving Tivo

Yes that would be fine as it sounds like you've got the existing cabling in both rooms. Wouldn't recommend swapping them around regularly but once every six months shouldn't cause any trouble.

Re: Moving Tivo

Thanks for the reply. I will now contact VM to see what reduction I can negotiate.

Re: Moving Tivo

Ideally you should fit a 75 OHM "F" terminator to the unused cable end to prevent possible drop outs on some channels. Not sure if VM will supply one on request but worth a try as it's in their own interest to keep the integrity of the system.
