One for the VM gurus

3.45 am, and I count 7 VM vans, a few people standing talking, I took a pic of some of them, but one guy started walking towards me so didnt take a pic of the rest.

No idea what they doing but here is some information.

2 days ago 2 vans were parked near their cabinet across the road (ironically next to a BT cab) it was opena dn doing some work.

Earlier tonight was an alarm going off I walked to investigate and another VM cabinet around the corner from me (this seems new dont remember it been there before) was some VM chaps working one had a blue LCD display planel conntec to the equipment inside, I only was there to ask if they knew where the alarm was coming from and apparently the road had a power cut.

Finally right now, is a load of VM peeps on my road, the vans across the road, and my side of the road they have a pot hole open and doing some hammering inside

Thoughts

Is this possible actual upgrades for my area (I dont have VM) or likely repair work or something?

Re: one for the VM gurus maybe ignition

heh that hammer stopped now, also attached image now.

1 - it might actually be openreach, as the vehicles are surrounding the openreach cab, the cab in the foreground is VM's.
2 - the picture I had to shrink 4x. but even at full resolution it came out very poor detail from my s5, something is going on with my s5 camera I think as used to be better quality, sorry.

spoke to one of the guys is not openreach or VM its the electric company, 150 houses lost power starting from 2 doors from me.

the pic is useless now so I removed it, as they were power company vans.

if you curious power is still down, they had to stop as its a main road.

What made you think they were VM vans to begin with?

Re: one for the VM gurus maybe ignition

I assumed they were as there has been VM work been done around the area in the last few days and only an hour or so earlier they were working on a cabinet around the corner.

Bear in mind I could only see either the front or back of the vans due to where they were parked so wasnt able to see the logos on the side.

Re: One for the VM gurus

I tried to update it before after I realised it was nothing to do with VM but the title was stuck, ignition was mentioned originally as he knows a lot about VM inner workings.

In fact I am not bothered if you even delete the thread, as the only bit related to VM was those guys working on the cabinet around the corner which noone has commented on.
