Superhub has a mind of its own

Hi folks, on the advice of the erudite members of this forum I got an upgrade to a superhub. This has worked fine for a month or so. But today the Virgin logo on the front keeps going a bluey red. All on its own. I understand this means it is in modem mode. But when I log on to the hub it says it isn't in modem mode. And it still works at full speed over wifi.. I can reset it by turning it off and on again, but not by poking the reset button. Any ideas?

It is overheating, don't worry.

that would be the new AI upgrade in the latest release. It'll be fine, just don't let it talk to your toaster, or other appliances.

The reset button is for wiping the settings and restoring factory defaults, not a substitute for turning it off and back on again.
