Freddie Mercury
I have been a big fan of Queen since they practically started and i have friends who are HIV+ but can now lead a normal life. In an interview i once watched with Brian May he states that if Freddie had lasted a year longer they would have got the cocktail of drugs right and he may have still been with us.
I wonder if he had survived where his career and Queen as a band would have gone and what music would have been made.
I am posting a video of Freddie in Colour 6 months before he died on the set of Those were the days of our lives, this was kept from the public for years and only a monochrome video was presented because he looked as he did.
I Dare anyone to watch this video and not feel deep emotion for a guy who was 6 months from passing away and the strength and voice he still managed to maintain.
Here is the Video...

Re: Freddie Mercury
Not a massive fan of him tbh, if reports are to be believed he infected a hell of a lot of people after finding out he had the disease.

Re: Freddie Mercury
Whatever he did in his private life is his own business but as far as his music goes with Queen and his solo stuff he was a genius.

Re: Freddie Mercury
I'd heard he was very pretentious and very self-centred as a person but as a performer he was the greatest showman ever.

Re: Freddie Mercury
One of the best singers I have ever heard. Everyone knows the music of Queen, and he could hold a crowd with his performances. A shame he died so young.

Re: Freddie Mercury
Absolute Genius. My Favourite ever. First saw them when they were a support band in 1973. They dominated my record collection, then my CD collection and now my ipod.
I still enjoy the stuff that Brian and Roger release but it's not really Queen without the Freddie influence.

Re: Freddie Mercury
l am not talking about his private life as l am talking about the man and his music and that's as far as it goes as far as l am concerned as l am no judge and jury on his private life as a lot of that is hearsay yet proven.

I think it should be bar 1.. ... I'm pretty sure Queen at the BBC is the same as Queen at the beeb. They relabelled it "at the BBC" for the US market.

The are the same but a few tracks are different, and the BBC is the US, Beeb is the UK.

That's what I said
I just checked the and they are both the same.
At the Beeb is a live album by the English rock band Queen, released on vinyl, cassette tape, and compact disc in 1989. Subsequently, it was released in 1995 in the United States under the title Queen at the BBC on compact disc and as limited edition picture disc vinyl.
