Bus Lane cameras
It's not about the money says Glasgow city council whilst lying on a pile of money smoking cigars.

A controversial new restriction on cars in Glasgow has earned the city council at least £800,000 in just two months.

Aside from the joke of signage it makes going from one side of Glasgow city centre to another a complete pain and is totally unnecessary IMO. Saying it's about the environment and traffic flow is a cop out, the junction was never that bad compared to others.

Maybe it's part of Alex Salmond's plan to fund an independant Scotland?

Cars with non Scottish number plates will be charged treble in the event of a yes vote.
The signing for some of the bus lanes in Glasgow is abysmal to say the least.

I suppose I should do some research and see where the money goes to. Is it ring fenced or straight back into council coffers?

Re: Bus Lane cameras
If its not about the money, then they wont mind giving back
That wont happen of course as its always about the money.
Bus lanes dont do anything for the environment. They cause massive build ups of traffic, which sit there dumping a ton of pollution into the area.
