possible fault with landline please help

Hi

Every now and again if I call a number I hear a crackling noise and then it goes back to the dialling tone, I have to try a few times until it rings, tonight when I was on hold to virgin media about 3 mins into the call it did the same thing.

Thank you
Mrs Cotton

Re: possible fault with landline please help

You need someone out to repair it, and if you can't call them from your own phone you will have to use a mobile, or a neighbour's landline, to do it.

To call them from a non-Virgin phone, dial 0345 454 2222. That's a 'geographic' number, so if you have inclusive calling minutes on your mobile phone, it will use those rather than being an extra charge.

Re: possible fault with landline please help

Have you perhaps got a spare phone you can connect and try?

Just in case it is the phone and not the line.
