Whilst £50 is on the high end of cheap, that button count is ridiculous. Was looking more along the lines of 5-7. Big hands and little buttons don't mix too well.

Well the G600 is specifically designed to be ridiculous. Ones like the G9x and the good ol' MX500 have more sane button counts and larger ones too. The G500 also has 3 fairly large buttons on the side, two small ones on top, and three programmable click modes on the scrollwheel.

Whilst looking for the g500 I came across an Anker 8200 on Amazon, 9 button, weightable, high dpi and only £26
Reviews are favourable so this may be a go'er.

Re: Need a new mouse

I only count 6 buttons on the Anker so I'm assuming they're counting the scroll wheel too, in which case the G500 has 9 buttons too... Nonetheless I don't know what anker's programming software is like but Logitech's is among the best I've come across. Plus the super-scroll wheel is an absolute necessity once you get used to it.
