Who are you asking about the labour mps, not me surely, I've never voted labour, I have on the other hand voted ukip, doubt I will be again though.
The company didn't have to make up any fake applications. They were more than happy, for some reason, to fake a job. They was NO vacancy and therefore NONE of the applications are going to be looked at and verified. The location specified was incorrect and the job description was wrong. Anybody truly wanting to work as a PA to a politician for a particular party would have known about media stories about who was already doing that job and that there was NO vacancy. Are there really no political troublemakers or trolls or journalists out there, only to ready to make fake job applications?

The job website had already declared a political opinion against UKIP.
Link and Link
Do they take such a keen interest on how many applications there are for all the other jobs?

How hypocritical of them. Complain about fake job ads and fake one themselves.

So seven hundred and fifty people faked applications, including 100 foreign applicants just to give it an authentic feel. They didn't specify which person they'd be working for therefore the location didn't have to be the address of Nigel's bedroom.

They still had to know the main location where they would be working, in order to get there at all hours, night or day. They specified "Top European Politician" for UKIP. who else would that have been? It also says "Knowledge of politics a plus.", when actually it is a definite requirement.

People looking for jobs on a site called Xpat, would be English speakers already abroad and therefore not suitable, or English speakers here from other countries and therefore probably(but not totally impossibly) not a UKIP supporter and therefore not suitable.

Of the top of my head, Godfrey bloom, Neil Hamilton, Paul nuttall etc etc. They did know the main location, it wasn't for Nigel's PA just for someone with the abilities and dedication to perform the job which Nigel insisted only his wife was capable of doing. A knowledge of politics isn't even a requirement for their candidates. Or possibly it's for people in England who would consider working abroad but just want a decent job, instead of clutching at straws in the hope of groping something plausible just consider the demographics of the applicants to see which scenario is most likely.

How many of the applicants would have known any other names, especially those from other countries.
The job that his wife was, and is, doing, is at their home at all hours of the day and night and involves discussing of issues.

I don’t think anybody else would want to be in my house at midnight going through emails and getting me briefed for the next day,’ he said. Mr Farage said his wife earned a ‘very modest’ wage and worked ‘extremely unsociable hours’ for ‘up to’ seven days a week.
How much of that is in the job advert? Rule out the applicants that are Labour or LibDem supporters and how many would be left?

650 applicants were british. Yes and the advert said unsociable hours, up to seven days a week, for modest salary. Why rule out those particular supporters, seems harsh considering you don't know the reasons for supporting those particular parties or how endemic their level of support. I've voted conservative but I'm no supporter of them, far, far from or..

As the ad said "occasionally of a confidential nature". They would be dealing with politically sensitive material and issues. On a website called Xpat, how many of the British applicants were currently resident in the UK?

Why do they have to be resident in the UK (they may wish to move back to the UK).

I'd suggest most of them and going by what the firm said I doubt anyone is coming further than Europe, meaning relocation wouldn't be that bad.
