Re: RIP Ultimate Warrior
Rumours on Twitter that he knew something wasn't right. He didn't look that good when being introduced at WM, can't speak for RAW as not watched that.
Have to wonder if this quote is somehow trying to prepare people.

Re: RIP Ultimate Warrior
I have to say I certainly felt uncomfortable listening to his acceptance speech and on Raw. He wasn't the usual 'intense' that he is in his YouTube clips. I knew he'd have to tone it down a bit for live TV but he did seem quite noticeably 'off'.

He just seems to be a tired old man in this. Certainly not the guy we've seen him in his clips recently.

Re: RIP Ultimate Warrior
Lots of talk doing the rounds that he knew he was dying and accepted the HoF invite to mend all the broken bridges and leave the HoF/RAW appearance money and WWE 2K14 royalties for his family.

Saw him on WM XXX and he did look rather frail and a shadow of his former self but to go so soon, shocked!
RIP

Re: RIP Ultimate Warrior
A Massive loss, the world will be poorer for his passing, surely a national day mourning is required?

It's pretty much as expected. He didn't look great at the Hall of Fame or RAW.

Re: RIP Ultimate Warrior
It's a bad career choice for a long life.
Steroids, maybe some growth hormone, painkillers, alcohol, sleeping pills, tranquilisers, stimulants, potentially poor diets when on the road which they are for most of the year have all been part and parcel.
I'm sure this'll be blamed on steroids but the real culprit, if it's not purely natural causes, has to be the lifestyle. Trying to blame one ingredient in a huge cocktail of factors is silly. More attention is paid to the athletes' well-being now but man it was bad when Warrior was big. Read any wrestler from that era's book and it's made very clear that their lifestyle was most definitely not a healthy one.
Really sad that he's not the first of his profession to die young and suddenly and won't be the last. His era was full of characters that were most definitely way larger than life, and not made that way by Mother Nature.
