Maybe he'll seek the advice of his former colleague Margaret Moran. That's if she's well enough of course...

So presented with a wealth of evidence, including a signed confession, and the CPS have just decided to charge Dennis McShane with fiddling his accounts.

Apparently he's currently in a relationship with Vicky Pryce. You have to question her taste in men.

Perhaps he's just seeking her advice on what 'porridge' is like. Just in case... :D

Ex-Labour MP Denis MacShane has pleaded guilty to false accounting over parliamentary expenses.

During a hearing at the Old Bailey in London, Mr MacShane admitted false accounting by putting in fake receipts for £12,900 of "research and translation" services.

Former Labour Europe Minister jailed for fraud

Quote:

Former MP Denis MacShane has been jailed for six months for expenses fraud after admitting submitting 19 fake receipts amounting to £12,900.

He is the fifth MP to get a prison sentence after 2009's expenses scandal.

MacShane, 65, was a Labour MP for 18 years and served as Europe minister under Tony Blair between 2002 and 2005.

Mr Justice Sweeney said MacShane had "deliberately created misleading and deceptive invoices" with the dishonesty involved "considerable".
