It's still cheaper and more effective than a node split though.

It's not as cheap as their apparently preferred option - doing sweet FA.

There's a very good reason why I'm prepared to pay significantly more for an Infinity + phone connection than I currently pay for cable BB + VOIP phone. All I need to decide is whether to stick with VOIP or use a call package or 1899 again.

Does your 'My Virgin Media' say in the green box your area has been upgraded?

Considering the amount of work these upgrades are needing, it's possible there is a slight delay to the original plan in some areas

I'm in Hemel and being told my area's been upgraded. No sign of a speed increase up or down though. I notice they are charging me for it already though on the last bill!

Price changes aren't actually connected to the speed changes

Just upgraded from 20Mbit to 60Mbit in Area 24 (North Herts)
Didn't have the SuperHub before but installed it today and immediately went to 60Mbit

Re: Areas already upgraded (2012 double speed upgrades)

NW5 area 15, London

had the 100mb with 5 up from before but today internet (morning) was off for 1 & half hour
when came back appeared 5 downstream channels
the downstream frequencies are now different
downstream channels before 205-206-207
now 49-50-51-52-53
SFID changed from 10000 down to 300

upstream for a reason gone up to 52,5 from 49
power levels just gone up 1 dbmv

hope is the upgrade and not change me slot in the cabinet
ping and jitter is slightly better

dont think is fake reading because i reboot SH about 11 am when i find out and the 5th channel still was there
hope an other 3 channels to come will be nice

http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/s...27-04-2012.png

going to work this morning i see workers of BT openreach was working at local cabinets and added a FTTC cabinet at about 80-max 100 meters away from house ..... yam yam...

Re: Areas already upgraded (2012 double speed upgrades)

Been upgraded to 60Mb this week by retentions.
Upload is still 3Mb (on XL), retentions and faults tell me that I should have 6Mb upload, and a engineer has been booked. They say there is a problem with the signal levels, but as you will see below the SH is only configured for 3Mb up.

I didn't think we were upgraded yet (LE3 Leicester) nothing on the myvirginmedia homepage? Is this engineer wasting his time?

Yes, signal levels are nothing to do with that your Superhub is configured for 3Mb upload.

You won't get 6mbit yet, but you do need to reboot your modem so solve the power level on 1 of your channels which is a firmware bug.
