TiVo : Sporadic audio white noise on the V6.

My old TiVo used to very occasionally emit a loud burst of white noise and today my V6 has just done it too for the first time.

It sounds like a huge cat hissing and freaks my kittens out!

SP once gave a tip as to how to change a setting to try to prevent this, can anyone remember what it was

Setings-Audio-Dolby. Set it to PCM.

Though I haven't heard of this before on a V6. I think it's more likely to be your TV doing it. Check what audio settings are available on the TV.
