Can some one help please.? I've installed a new modem in a friends machine running ME. From everest it says its an Intel 82801AA AC'97 Modem. I only seem to be able to find sound drivers with that number....?

Anyideas?

ac 97 is audio

Remove the modem and have a look for any other idents on the chip

Looking at some of the google entries suggests it might be an Intel HAM Modem. Found a link to a file on driverguide

Okay...it has Genius on the board and the model number is K023B136. There actually isnt an intel chip on here. There is a Agere 1648C-TV5
