Re: IE7 beta public release?

Looks like some of the layout issues have been looked into, google toolbar is sitting a lot better now and you can move it. The hidden menu is working better too, classic mode is selected as default so you don't get a nasty suprise lol

Re: IE7 beta public release?

As with Vista, pressing the Alt key will un-hide the File/Edit/View menu

Re: IE7 beta public release?

Yep, setting it to classic will keep it in view all the time for those that don't like the new feature.

Re: IE7 beta public release?

I like it a lot from a first glance,

For some reason it looks like there is more on my screen from the perspective of the site im looking at, the fact the toolbar at the top is neater and smaller explains the height but width wise it looks larger as well.

Also is there anyway to have links open in a new tab rather than a new window? I like the fact it's tidy with 1 window holding all my pages.

---------- Post added at 19:34 ---------- Previous post was at 19:32 ----------

Sorry just seen the option for pop'ups to open in a new tab.

Re: IE7 beta public release?

Yep check in tools, tab settings, I have IE set to decide how to open links and more often than not they go to a new tab and not a window
They are even allowing feedback on the Beta now it's in the PD

Re: IE7 beta public release?

Thanks Paul, top man.

Any ideas on why there appears to be so much space in the window now?

Re: IE7 beta public release?

Think they are rendering the page slightly smaller, someone may know the real reason though lol.
I just like the new favourites listing, very user friendly.

Re: IE7 beta public release?

Yeah it's nice, however dont click the arrow on the right of a favourites folder lol, it opened every page in the folder.
