Symantec libel Spybot

What is it with Symantec ??

Not only do they produce bloated, crappy software which screws with so many other apps I've lost count, it is nigh on impossible to uninstall fully, they admit to installing rootkit software with the Protected recycle bin, they are now attacking Spybot S&D by saying it corrupts Ghost images.

Hopefully Patrick Kolla will sue their asses and bring this egotistical company off its high horse.

Re: Symantec libel Spybot

NIS and NAV are the 2 of the most overrated, ineffective products out there. I too have lost count of the number of problems Symantec products have caused me and my clients!

Re: Symantec libel Spybot

NIS scr*wed me royally a while back and then managed to return from the grave a few months later to have another pop at me

Re: Symantec libel Spybot

Then I've had no real issues with Norton though I agree they are somewhat overstuffed.

And yes I have had to uninstall them and reinstall and uninstall. No real issues.
