What to do about all these tv adverts?

Just got a satellite tv box and was seriously cheesed off at the amount of adverts on now. I tried to watch kung fu on cbs and passenger 57 on itv2 and just could not cope with the adverts interrupting my viewing. I turned the tv off. I mean, how can people enjoy tv now? The other thing is that every other advert seems to have someone whistling in them now. This just makes adverts double annoying for me.

Re: What to do about all these tv adverts?

I just wish some one would invent an automatic ffwd button. My reactions aren't as fast as they used to be.

If you run a HTPC then there is commercial skipping software available. I've not tried them though, the 30 skip button on the remote is good enough for me. Never watching live TV means no adverts.
