Sky Cable Broadband?

I haven't seen any service on their website that uses coax cable services.

After I moved into this premise, I found out that my physical telephone line was physically severed (cut off by someone) which was later confirmed by a BTOpenreach engineer.

What I want to know is if it's possible for me to get Sky Broadband through the use of cable.

I'm a dedicated gamer and relies on low ping and minimal packet losses, I want to know if Sky is good on that aspect as well. Currently I am using VM and it has been terrible.

Many thanks and cheers.

Re: Sky Cable Broadband?

VMs cable network only serves VM services.

You'll need a tech out to install services either way you go so the BT line will get reconnected.

I've seen that Sky are good for gaming.

Consider BT Infinity if its available to you > try the address check option https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/main.html

Re: Sky Cable Broadband?

I prefer which ever is cheapest, as long as your home BB connection is managed well enough by your ISP there really is not enough difference in performance to justify paying £30+ a month.

Business connections on the other hand offer a MASSIVE increase in performance although they come with a MASSIVE difference in price.

Re: Sky Cable Broadband?

BT's 40mb is £18 a month. Average speed is 36mb. Sky doesn't do 40mb. Average speed is less than 8mb.

Get your facts straight.
