What is PCM.db?

Hi guys - not sure if this is the best place for this but.....

Just been looking through some photo folders and come across the above item amongst the picture files.

Clicking on it warns me it is a database file and that altering/editing it could affect the computer. Clicking properties shows it is 136kb, was created on 19/12/06, modified yesterday and accessed today at this time. Any idea what it is?

Probably very similar to thumbs.db which is the fiile that stores the preview infomation when you have the folder view set to thumbnails.
