Haze (PS3)

The much hyped & anticipated FPS "Haze" from Free Radical Design (responsible for "TimeSplitters") has been reviewed by IGN...

http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/875/875229p1.html

Ouch. 4.5/10!

As well as the TimeSplitters games, many at FRD are famous for having previously worked on the utterly excellent "GoldenEye" while originally at Rare.

I guess the magic hasn't returned.

Yep alot of the score's comming in are really low. COD4 has set the bar to high lol. I have this on pre-order to. Maybe this would of been better had they been able to get it out for the origonal release but with the delays and the great games just out and comming out this one aint looking great. Either way I'll give it a try as I have been known to like the odd game thats scored poorly in reviews.

Re: Haze (PS3)

TBH its not a bad game. Not worthy of the poor scores its been getting, having said that its nothing great either.

I'd give it 6.5/10

Re: Haze (PS3)

Sounds fair.

Most of the other reviews I've seen have been poor, but not as harsh as the IGN one I linked to earlier.

Does seem a bit of a disappointment though, given the developer's pedigree, the hype, the anticipation.

Still.... MGS4 soon

That would of been the open Beta for MGS:Online not MGS4 as there's no demo out for it as far as am aware. Yes the MGS:Online beta was very poor but I think the actual game MGS4 will be much better.

My mistake lol I thought the person was talking about an MGS demo. Not Haze. Yeah I did know about the Haze demo on PSN as I got it from there to try b4 buying. Sorry. I should read it more closely.

Re: Haze (PS3)

Haze wasn't the classic it appeared it was going to be, unfortunately, but a lot of the reviews are extremely harsh. I got it Thursday and completed it yesterday.

My main complaint is that it's too short. It was fun to play, though - as others have said, it's not the greatest FPS ever made, but it's not the worst either.

MGS4 cutscenes... they add up to around 90 minutes, but there are no 90-minute scenes. CVG who initially broke that story were full of crap.
