Verry happy to report that my area in Oldham as been double-speed upgraded...

after...

Similar upload speed but that doesn't bother me. Now I need to find a use for 60MB download!

That is because you were on 20mb and got a Superhub, they put you onto 60mb early when that happens. Area 24 is still pre-speed upgrade, I'm in the same area. Although I have now got 8 downstream channels, as of last Monday.

Re: Areas already upgraded (2012 double speed upgrades)

You can always ring them and ask to be upgraded. The price increase (pointed out by Ben in another thread) is not related to the speed increase. It's simply a cost hike.

I like their logic. They're doubling the speed for free but increasing their prices at the same time.

I thought you was going to say "they are doubling the speeds before they have done the upgrades so the network can handle it"

No chance - VM would never do such a thing - you know how fussy they are about avoiding any congestion.

Still no sign of any speed doubling today either, and I can't get through on 150.
