MS Outlook & IE8

I'm sure this question has been answered somewhere along the line, but sorry I can't find it.

We've got a 'new' (second hand PC), as this one is now on it's last legs - it will make a very nice doorstop!

It came with XP home and IE8 pre-installed. We use MS outlook 2003 as our backbone for mail, to which I've set up fine as a seperate prog. However - how do I set up IE8 to use outlook whenever the mail icon is clicked, as opposed to trying to get us to set up an msm account?

According to the programs tab of internet options, outlook is already setup as the default.

Ideas anyone

Re: MS Outlook & IE8

When I had a brief fling with Outlook as opposed to OE I found the mail would get delivered to whichever App demanded it. So if you have made Outlook your default then you are set to go.

Yep that's what should happen if your email client default is set to Outlook. I would check in add remove for any MSN junk installed and get shot of it.
