Changing Package Online?

Anyone have a timeframe on when Virgin are going to re-allow you to change your package online? It's been down for a couple of weeks or more now

Quote:
We're making it easier to change your package

We're doing some work on this area to bring all our great offers for existing customers into My Virgin Media. We're sorry, but while the work’s going on, you can't see your full package details or upgrade online.

It won't take long, so check back soon to see special deals on broadband, TV, phone and mobile.
I don't fancy calling india, I'd rather do it online without any confusion.

Re: Changing Package Online?

I think the changes are due this week sometime. Once they launch, can you try again?

Re: Changing Package Online?

Will the changes make it possible to deal with "complex" accounts, or is that still going to be phone only?

The online page seems to now be showing stuff, for me anyway. Said I could upgrade my XL30 to 100mb for £7.25, which seemed quite cheap?

Same as my account. (broadband only, no telephone line) I rang customer services and asked how much the upgrade from XL to XXL would be after the price rise. I currently pay £28.50 a month, I thought Mmm 36 quid? Seems like a good offer. The guy on the phone quoted me £45, that's with a 10 quid off promotional discount.

No thanks.

Re: Changing Package Online?

Its a pain that you cant downgrade, I want to downgrade my phone and upgrade my BB from 30 to 100, it's also telling me it will only cost 7.25. so tempting.

Re: Changing Package Online?

iirc, you've never been able to downgrade online, only via customer services, who's job it is to try and talk you out of downgrading.
