IPad not connecting to 5G

I cannot now connect my ipad to the 5G network, this is a strange one as it will connect to the 2G setting but not the 5G, the password is the exact same for both 2G and 5G but it will only accept, and let me join the 2G setting. It was previously connected to 5G and I had no problems whatsoever connecting, but now all i get is "wrong password" entered!!

Can anyone help me out with this please.

Thanks

Re: IPad not connecting to 5G

Try changing the 5G WiFi channel to 36. Some devices can't read the higher WiFi channels

Thx for the reply mate, the thing is it was connected to the 5G signal the day before, and then just lost all WiFi connection totally! and as I said when I tried to reconnect to the 5G it just kept saying wrong password.

A simular thing happened to me a couple of months ago, I had to remove the existing 5G setting and setup a new 5G setting .

Re: IPad not connecting to 5G

what I've done with my network is rename it for 2g and 5g... ie 2g network and 5g network and none of my devices have had issues with connecting on this now

Re: IPad not connecting to 5G

Sometimes you need to get the device to forget the setting/connection.
