LEAKED document suggests systematic fraud by A4E

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17476415

Wow A4Egate going to roll and roll this horror show surely surely this government has to sack A4E.

Quote:
The auditors found staff claiming for putting people into jobs which did not exist, jobs which did not qualify for payment and fabricating paperwork.
some examples

The report highlighted some specific examples of suspicious activity:
  • In Edinburgh one client walked out of a job after two hours complaining of sore feet and never appeared on the potential employer's books, but A4e still claimed for a job outcome
  • In Bootle the auditor could find no trace of an unemployed man who was supposed to have found work at Royal Mail and no trace of the man who was supposed to have employed him
  • In Bridlington a cafe owner told the auditor that he had never even met a man A4e had claimed for and he wanted to know why A4e kept asking him to sign blank forms
  • In Woolwich A4e appear to have claimed for putting a benefits cheat back into the job they were already illegally working in. The auditor said of the incident: "This is a potentially fraudulent claim, and there is also potential benefit fraud."

Sorry but this is old news they have been at it since they got the damn contract guess being a friend of dave's means your company can do as it pleases. Before anyone says yes i know she resigned but A4E have been operating dubiously for quite a while and no one seems to give a damn where they should.

A Private Company being paid for by Tax Payers Money... cooking the books (the Chairlady resigning) - surely not!!! What will happen if our roads are maintained by the privatisation sector. Toll roads for the rich 45% Tax Payers use only.

Indeed scary thoughts not forget there been issues with rail companies in past.

There poster think private means better and more profesional. Its miss mash not all are so not going to say public always better either. But at least there more control if things go wrong its not that easy when its in private hands its harder to find out things.

Re 'more control'...

You do realise that this was found by an A4E internal audit, reported to the DWP, and then actions taken by A4E to remedy the shortcomings, don't you?
