Webpage Access ? Please Remind Me How ...

Hi guys, I remember reading a while ago that you can get "some" functionality of the TiVo box via a webpage; as long as its on the same network. I vaguely remember doing this and having "TiVo" show up in IE via its IP address. I have now totally forgotten how to do this and am unable to find out how via a search. SO, can someone please tell me how to do this, from setting up the TiVo box to entering the IP in IE.

I have the TiVo box wired to my Router and have an IP of 192.168.0.9 but this address brings up a page not found error.

Thanks in advance for your help

I'm not a Lawyer, however if you're trying to use a Tivo whilst not connected to VM's network legally (i.e. You're by paying for their service), then you are very probably breaking the law.

I'm really not sure what jempalmer is talking about. To look at the webpage you enter the Tivo IP address as a HTTPS site in the browser, when prompted for a username and password it's 'tivo' and the 'service number' from your box.
Can't really do a lot in it though to be honest, it just gives you a list of what has been recorded. You maybe thinking of the Series 1 Tivoweb package which gave you the ability to set recordings and such.

Yep just looked at that page and other than giving out a list of recorded content it does nothing else.

I agree i think jempalmer has got the wrong end of the stick on this.
